At some point, it’s important to consider our mortality, and the quality of care we desire at the end of life. Let’s explore the history and impact of End-of-Life Doulas, as their progressive form of companionship and service comforts the dying, their caregivers, and family. Crystal Walter, MPA, MSW, LCSW is an accomplished Geriatric Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practicing integrative psychotherapist with an emphasis on the geriatric population. She currently provides psycho-social support, crisis intervention, and group and individual integrative counseling to the University of Texas Health Science Center Physicians Clinics in Bellaire, Texas. Crystal believes that a holistic, communal approach to mental health care encompasses mind, body, spirit, and nature. Crystal is also a world traveler who enjoys learning, engaging, and experiencing all activities; and opportunities that enhance her practice as an integrative psychotherapist and human being.
