Institutional Giving

Laura joined the staff of the Hope and Healing Center & Institute (HHCI) as Grant Writer in May 2015. She became Director of Development in January 2016 and served three years in this role. In January 2019, Laura shifted her focus to foundation and corporate fundraising exclusively and became our Development Director, Institutional Giving. Laura is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Texas. Prior to her career in fundraising, Laura spent 18 years in marketing communications where she developed new business, managed accounts, and created communications strategies for corporations and nonprofit organizations. She founded Hannah’s Fresh Baked Goodness, a company named for her daughter that creates custom iced, decorated sugar cookies for special events using an old family recipe. Laura became a Grant Writer in 2013. Laura is an active community volunteer. She served on the Board of the International Association of Business Communicators and as a member of the Junior League of Houston. She currently serves as the Philanthropic Liaison for Kids’ Meals at National Charity League’s Bayou City Chapter and as a volunteer at Episcopal High School.
