Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidenced-based form of treatment for individuals who find it difficult to regulate and manage their emotions and behaviors. These difficulties lead to distress and disturbances in the individual’s life and relationships, making it hard to live a fulfilling and purposeful life. Our DBT-based services address the needs of individuals who experience intense emotions, act impulsively, have tumultuous relationships, engage in self harm or destructive behaviors, and have suicidal thoughts and ideation.
At the HHCI, we offer DBT-based skills classes, individual sessions, case management, psychoeducation, and family support. Together, these services cultivate effective skills in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Our DBT trained coaches provide alternative solutions to handling these intense emotions, stressed relationships, and painful life situations.
