DESCRIPTION:This Lunch and Learn educational event will  discuss The Neuroscience Behind Behavioral Addictions.\n\n\nTraining Overview\nWe’ll explore the connection between various behavioral addictions\, brain function\, and mental health. Participants will learn how certain behaviors—such as compulsive technology use\, gambling\, shopping\, or gaming—can alter brain processes and reinforce addictive patterns. \nThrough guided discussion and applied learning\, participants will gain skills to recognize behavioral addiction patterns\, understand their neurological foundations\, and respond with greater insight to individuals experiencing mental health challenges related to addictive behaviors. \nPresenter\nMatthew S. Stanford\, Ph.D.Chief Executive Officer\, Hope and Healing Center & Institute \nLearning Focus\nThis training provides a framework for understanding: \n\nThe relationship between behavioral addictions and brain function.\nThe neuroscience underlying addictive patterns and reward processing.\nThe impact of behavioral addictions on mental health and emotional functioning.\n\nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand behavioral addictions and their connection to brain function and mental health.\nExplain the neuroscience behind addictive patterns\, including the role of dopamine and the brain’s reward system.\nRecognize the adverse effects of behavioral addictions on mental health.\n\nContinuing Education\nLicensed Mental Health Providers may earn up to 1.0 CE hour.
