Learn about different types of trauma\, common trauma responses\, and how trauma can affect interpersonal connections. \nThrough guided discussion and applied learning\, participants will gain skills to recognize trauma responses and respond compassionately to individuals experiencing mental distress. \nPresenter\nMadeline Stiers\, Ph.D.\, LCSW-SChief Clinical Officer\, Hope and Healing Center & Institute \nLearning Focus\nThis training provides a framework for understanding: \n\nThe types and sources of trauma.\nHow trauma impacts relationships and social functioning.\nCommon trauma responses and compassionate strategies for supporting those in mental distress.\n\nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the different types of trauma.\nLearn about the impact of trauma on relationships.\nRecognize common trauma responses and respond compassionately to those in mental distress.\n\nContinuing Education\nLicensed Mental Health Providers may earn up to 1.0 CE hour.
