ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Caregiving, especially for someone dealing with dementia, is often a new role and requires special skills and knowledge.  The Savvy Caregiver Class, presented through The Amazing Place, is an innovative, free, program for understanding the changes your loved one is experiencing throughout the disease’s progression. During the six-week, two-hour class sessions, we help caregivers understand dementia, its effects on behavior, and provide personalized strategies for caregiving and related decision-making. Research has demonstrated caregivers who participated in this program improve their skills, knowledge, and confidence in dealing with their loved one’s behavior as well as reducing their own feelings of stress.
