ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This presentation will give a description of autism, associated conditions, areas of treatment and planning for development, education and transition into adulthood.


REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT

Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning.  Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Peter Simione, PhD, LSSP, Licensed Psychologist

Peter is a Philadelphia native who got to Texas as soon as he could. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, and provides clinical and forensic services which include assessment, therapy, and consultation. Forensic assessment services includes mental health evaluations (family and criminal courts), independent educational evaluations, custody evaluations as well as evaluations for establishing guardianship.

Clinical assessment includes issues related to social, behavioral, emotional, educational, cognitive and independent functioning. Evaluations may include psychological, neuropsychological, developmental, and educational assessment.

Peter also provides intervention services, which include individual and family therapy. Areas of specialization include challenges with self-regulation (behavioral, emotional, executive functioning), social-emotional development, family dynamics, mood and anxiety disorders, autism, and cognitive processing challenges.
