Cardiovascular disease and events such as a heart attack, stroke, or major heart surgery commonly also involve sadness, depression, anxiety, or traumatic stress. However, depression is a risk factor for adverse medical outcomes in patients with heart disease and should not be ignored. This presentation will discuss the emotional impact on individuals and their families/caregivers and the importance of caring for the behavioral and psychological health after a cardiovascular event and while living with chronic heart disease.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT.  Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning.
