ABOUT THE PROGRAM
When your significant other dies your world is turned upside down. Join Marian Mankin, Program Director of Bo’s Place, to discuss the grief journey of individuals whose partner has died. Learn what helps the bereaved make meaning of the death of a loved one and grow and heal from the experience.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Check in will begin 15 minutes prior to the program beginning. Due to video filming, late attendees will be asked to view the presentation in the Green Room.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Marian Mankin is the Program Director at Bo’s Place, a bereavement center in Houston, TX where she has worked since 2004. Marian oversees the grief support programming at Bo’s Place and coordinates ongoing grief support groups for families who have experienced a parent’s death. She frequently presents on topics related to bereavement and is a current member and former board President of the National Alliance for Grieving Children. Marian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose previous experience includes working as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital and in therapeutic foster care.
