About the Speaker
Daniela White, MD, Midtown Psychiatry and TMS Center
Dr. Daniela White is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Board-Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her training in general psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and followed it with her fellowship Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She had an early interest in psychotherapy as well, and she was credentialed in Psychodynamic therapy at Houston – Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute (now Center for Psychoanalytic Studies) during her fellowship. She founded Midtown Psychiatry and TMS Center, where she started practicing soon after completing her specialization, seeing children, adolescents, and adults with various mental illness, including ADHD, Mood disorders, Anxiety disorders and OCD. The clinic developed over the years, expanding the care through highly specialized psychiatric nurse practitioners and therapists integrating different modalities of treatment, primarily psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. In 2011 the clinic added Transcranial Magnetic stimulation for the treatment of refractory to treatment depression, being one of the first few centers providing this novel treatment. Dr. White continues to maintain an integrative approach in treating her patients, using complementary treatments like light therapy, exercise, augmentation with supplements and neuromodulation through TMS to address their psychiatric conditions
Recently the clinic engaged in the merger with Lifestance Health, one of the largest Behavioral Health provider in Texas, having multiple locations, and she serves as the Medical Director for the Spring Valley location.
She is also a coach, helping parents who struggle with mental illness to parent their children in a healthy way, trying to educate them on changing and improving their lifestyle to properly model a sense of wellbeing. She is a firm believer that people are not defined by their mental illness and can rise above their apparently limiting conditions.
