ABOUT THE PROGRAM
An emotionally healthy person can become high conflict when stressed. And then there are those folks that are just high conflict! When we get caught off guard by these individuals in our practice, workplace or homelife, it can wreak havoc with our self-confidence and our ability to manage our own emotions. Jayna will explain the hidden dynamics of high conflict people, the high conflict cycle and how it keeps going. Based on her training with the High Conflict Institute and extensive experience, she will provide us with new tools to stop the cycle and change the dynamics in a positive way. For professionals, she shares specific dos and don’ts of managing high conflict people in our professional lives. Learn effective strategies that you can use to support and build resilience for yourself and others including children and teens who struggle with the dynamics of high conflict with one or both of their parents.

Early on, she and her husband, Mike, trained at the Stepfamily Foundation in New York and started teaching classes for stepfamily couples and single parents. In 2006, she founded The Bridge Across for Single Parents and Stepfamilies to provide coaching, education, and programs- including those she authored herself. In 2012, she began graduate school, earning an MS in Counseling and a post graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from University of Houston- Clear Lake. Additionally, she is certified in Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol for Children and has extensive training in EMDR and trauma, adult attachment and intimate partners, high conflict dynamics, and parental alienation.
